Satyananda role: Purchasing and Sales This man is one of the old hippies from way back. He still qualifies on three accounts. Firstly he is horribly idealistic. He has been working in and around Sudarshanaloka for 15 years mainly because his teacher, Urgyen Sangharakshita, asked him to stay here and build a Retreat Centre. Secondly he has a long beard; usually it’s long hair for a hippy but you may have noticed his genetic coding tried to have another idea. Lastly he lives in what some of us might call no more than a shed which he hopes someday to turn into something that reminds him of his old house truck. If you want to get into his good books, which is not hard to be honest, he is a great fan of detective novels and country & western music. Please don’t hold any of this against the rest of us. |

Graham Z Lackey role: Warehouse Manager No one knows where Graham Z Lackey came from, he turned up one day at the Saturday morning market in Thames in a small antique caravan with his cat, selling what others might describe as junk but to the discerning eye, was treasure. He declares himself to be retired, although this idea would leave the locals scratching there heads. |

Andrea Gill role: Office Administrator Andrea, I think, qualifies as a Thames local, having lived in its vicinity for over a decade along with her hubby, Amritadaka. She must be, along with her man, one of the funniest double acts in town. A couple of wines between them and they will have you bent over double with laughter in no time. She is also a belly dancer and has been slightly hampered from doing so much of it lately because she tore her Achilles tendon while playing backyard cricket. Be nice to Andrea, inside every office administrator is a barracuda waiting to be let out! |

Spenser Probett role: Sales Spenser is the latest addition to our team. He currently lives in Auckland (we try not to hold it against him) with his beautiful wife Amanda. Spenser is also one of those old hippies that used to run riot in London in the late 70’s early 80’s. He has some truly wonderful yarns, ask him sometime. Spenser drives our bus Rosa around the country, so many of you would have met and probably know him quite well. Don’t let him sell you anything you don’t want, he has particular magical powers when it comes to increasing his sales. Be warned! |

Dridhamati role: Webmaster and Tech expert He’s from Brittany, so don’t call him French! Close enough for most kiwis though. However to be fair, Dridhamati has taken it upon himself to pay off his country’s debt to New Zealand for the bombing of the Rainbow Warrior, by working for us for free. He is currently based in the U.K. and is looking at coming back soon. The wonders of the Internet allow us to talk with him as often as we need. Amazing really! |

Akasadaka role: Sales and Marketing Akasadaka (his name can be translated as Light(Luke) Skywalker, pure coincidence) recently returned from England, having spent the last five years working with one of the worlds biggest Buddhist co-operatives, Windhorse Trading. He responded to the call that Satyananda and Andrea needed help to move LRT onto a new footing and away from the darkside (of the ledger). He was hoping to be not so interested in business anymore and retire peacefully up the valley and teach profound things to New Zealand natives. Alas, retirement seems to be a bit of a myth in these parts. |
